Throughout this course, you will study:

Incorporating Knowledge of Skin Structure and Functions into Beauty Therapy (SHBBSSC001): Understand the anatomy and physiology of the skin, including its layers, functions, and how these affect beauty treatments. This knowledge forms the foundation for delivering safe and effective facial treatments tailored to individual skin needs.
  2. Incorporating Knowledge of Body Structures and Functions into Beauty Therapy (SHBBSSC002): Learn about the structures and functions of the body, with a focus on how these impact the skin and overall beauty treatments. This broader understanding will enhance your ability to deliver holistic beauty services.
  3. Promote healthy nutritional options in a beauty therapy context (SHBXCCS006): focuses on the importance of nutrition in overall wellness, helping beauty therapists identify and promote healthy nutritional options that support skin health, hair vitality, and general wellbeing.
  4. Maintain infection control standards (SHBBINF002): equips learners with the critical skills to maintain infection control standards in line with industry regulations

  5. Providing Facial Treatments and Skin Care Recommendations (SHBBFAS005): Master a range of facial treatments, including cleansing, exfoliation, and moisturization. You will also learn how to assess skin types, identify specific needs, and provide professional skincare recommendations tailored to each client’s individual requirements.

  6. Providing Specialised Facial Treatments (SHBBFAS006): Gain proficiency in advanced facial therapies aimed at addressing skin concerns such as anti-aging, acne, and hydration. This unit includes hands-on experience with advanced treatments like chemical peels, specialized masks, and other skin care techniques.

  7.  Provide micro-dermabrasion treatments (SHBBSKS009): teaches learners to safely perform non-invasive skin resurfacing treatments that improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance

For individual learning timetables, please visit our consultant to see the available training options. For maximum efficacy, we recommended attending our courses a minimum of 1-2 days of practical training per week.

What if I don’t feel confident after the course?

We understand the importance of investing in yourself and your future. That is why we have a guarantee policy for all of our students. If you still aren’t feeling confident after 6 extensive course training sessions and guidelines, we will provide you with complimentary practice packages (2 extra models) to help you achieve your optimal results.

Is there available support upon course completion?

Of course, online support via email or phone is always available even when you complete the course. Our trainers are ready to support your professional dreams and guide you through the process!

What happens if I miss a day of training?

Missed days are just part of life. Our students are granted a maximum of 6 make-up classes if they cannot attend lessons. Remember - trainers must be informed before the start of the class.

Are the course certificates nationally recognised qualifications?

We redesign our courses so that you will make the most of your practical components, therefore some courses are not accredited. If you would like to upgrade to accredited certificates, do not hesitate to let us know.

Can I start my own salon after completing this course?

We’ve got you covered! With our certificate, you have the opportunity to open up your own salon and become your own boss! This certificate also allows you to buy insurance for your salon, so you can be all set up for the big launch!

What if I fail the course?

In the event of a failed course, our students have 2 chances to complete the assigned assessment. We offer extensive support so all our students can graduate and complete the course.

What are the entry requirements for the course?

Our students must be over the age of 18 (or have approval from a parent or legal guardian).

We welcome international residents with a completed Year 10 Level English.

If you haven’t successfully completed English at Year 10 level, you can demonstrate equivalency through one of the following:

  • Successful completion of a Nationally Recognised Training qualification at Certificate II level or higher; OR
  • years of relevant industry experience in a role that requires the use of written documentation and communication
